Yeah, it's not until another 12 years from now, but the FIFA union revealed the winners of the 2018 and the 2022 World Cup moments ago. The winner of the 2018 World Cup was Russia (no surprise), but the big winner for 2022 was... (Drumroll, please...) NOT the United States!
Qatar has won the right to host the 2022 World Cup. At first glance, you ask, "Where is Qatar?" It is on the Saudi Arabian Peninsula, bordering the Persian Gulf:
My first reaction was that Qatar MUST have bribed their way into getting the World Cup, since they wallow in money. The United States has tried DESPERATELY to host the World Cup in recent years, and has failed to do so. Quite baffling to me.
Come 2022, we should DECIMATE the Qatar team (if we should face them, since the host country gets an auto-bid for the World Cup).
