Great Ending to a Great Game

I saw the highlights this morning of a crazy Monday Night Football game last night between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans. (No, I am not going to talk about the Giants-Vikings game, since that was a DUD and the only news was by a player who did NOT play in the game - Hint: his name rhymes with 'carve').

It was 21-7 at halftime - Ravens leading. To open up the quarter (Ravens got the ball first), this happened:

Unbelievable, how Reed (David Reed) was able to escape three defenders en route for a TD. Then again, the Texans were terrible (Turrible, as Charles Barkley would say) in open-field tackling all game.

The Ravens tried to extend the lead, but they couldn't muster any points in the third and fourth quarter - back come the home team, the Texans. Midway through the fourth quarter - trailing 28-13 - Houston had the ball at its own one yard line. They marched the rest of the field for a TD to third WR Jacoby Jones, who had himself a hell of a game.

The Texans then forced the Ravens to punt at midfield, moments after quarterback Joe Flacco decided to PASS on third-and-two (a terrible decision for a team, whose defense had been GASSED after 50 plays by the Texans offense in the second half!)

The Texans, starting again inside their own ten-yard line, marched down the field passing the ball, resulting in this:

What a finish! And how did soon-to-be-Pro-Bowler Andre Johnson manage to balance and have both feet touch the ground before his hand did? AMAZING!

In overtime, the Ravens went three-and-out, resulting in the Texans once again starting within their own ten-yard-line for the third consecutive drive. Unfortunately, their drive only lasted TWO plays, because this happened:

Thank you, former Terp, Josh Wilson! You have single-handedly SAVED the Ravens' season!
